Fluorescent grow lights, particularly T5 High Output (HO) tubes, are widely used in indoor gardening for their energy efficiency and effectiveness in promoting plant growth. These lights are typically used for propagating seedlings and vegetative growth. The "T" in T5 refers to the tube's diameter in eighths of an inch, with T5 being 5/8 inches in diameter. Fluorescent lights are known for their lower energy consumption compared to Metal Halide (MH) and High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) grow lights.
